"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.....(from Luke 16:19-31)[if gte vml 1]><v:shapetype id="_x0000_t75" coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> <v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke> <v:formulas> <v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f> <v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f> <v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f> </v:formulas> <v:path o:extrusionok="f" gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"></v:path> <o:lock v:ext="edit" aspectratio="t"></o:lock> </v:shapetype><v:shape id="Picture_x0020_10" o:spid="_x0000_s1026" type="#_x0000_t75" alt="TaullLlatzer.jpg" style='position:absolute;margin-left:1.5pt; margin-top:0;width:151.3pt;height:116.1pt;z-index:1;visibility:visible; mso-wrap-style:square;mso-wrap-distance-left:9pt;mso-wrap-distance-top:0; mso-wrap-distance-right:9pt;mso-wrap-distance-bottom:0; mso-position-horizontal:absolute;mso-position-horizontal-relative:text; mso-position-vertical:absolute;mso-position-vertical-relative:text'> <v:imagedata src="file:///C:\Users\LOCKFA~1\AppData\Local\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.jpg" o:title="TaullLlatzer"></v:imagedata> <w:wrap type="square"></w:wrap> </v:shape><![endif][if !vml][endif]"
We asked ourselves this past Sunday, "What “great reversal” would we like to see in the world?" Spend some time digesting this question a little bit more throughout the week. When the digesting is done, start to move your imagination towards an action where you could help serve, love, restore, encourage, forgive and/or reconcile in ways that would move you past the chasm of indifference that lies between you and that thing you would like to reverse. What are you waiting for? There will come a time when it is too late.
